CHOCOLATE ICE CREAM WITH TOASTED ALMONDS
Here’s a secret: A frozen banana, slightly blended, has the same consistency as ice cream. It’s true! Now enjoy a smooth and creamy dessert that your body will thank you for.
1 frozen banana (make sure your banana is frozen at the exact ripeness that you like to eat it)
2 teaspoons natural almond butter
2 teaspoons cocoa powder
1-3 tablespoons almond milk, such as Unsweetened Vanilla Almond Breeze™*
1 teaspoon sliced almonds, toasted sweetener, to taste
In a food processor or blender, combine banana, almond butter, and cocoa powder. Process with 3-4 pulses. Add almond milk, a tablespoon at a time, and process until mixture clumps up and resembles ice cream. Add sweetener as needed. Spoon mixture into a cup and top with toasted almonds.
